ARDEX ACQUIRES THE W. W. HENRY COMPANY
ARDEX Engineered Cements, Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, has agreed to acquire the W. W. HENRY Company and all the manufacturing facilities of flooring adhesives, underlayments and floor care products.
For over 60 years the W. W. Henry Company has focused on the development, manufacture and marketing of adhesives used for the installation of a wide range of floor covering materials, such as resilient flooring, carpet, wood parquet, laminated flooring, and ceramic tile. W. W. Henry is one of the most respected brand names within the industry.
"This acquisition will enhance the ability to serve our customers", explains Herbert Goller, President and CEO of ARDEX. "Worldwide we are a leading manufacturer of advanced technology products for the installation of floor and wall covering systems. The addition of the W. W. Henry Company adds a new dimension to our presence in the flooring market. We are now able to offer complete surface-system solutions: self-leveling and trowel-grade underlayments, patches, adhesives, cementitious designer floors, ceramic tile sundries, and more."
The W.W. Henry Company will be headquartered in Aliquippa, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Michael Crouch, HENRY's current General Manager, will manage the new W.W. Henry Company's business as its Vice President and General Manager. With plants in Illinois, Georgia and Texas, manufacturing and operations will be entrusted to Michael Pijar, who has spent the past several years streamlining the HENRY operations.
"This acquisition brings to both companies an offering of new products and capabilities, rather than a merging of two similar companies," explains Lori Pietsch Angelo, Vice President of Finance at ARDEX. "Although both companies manufacture materials for use in the flooring industry, they have almost no products that are alike. Access to new talent and expertise at both companies will further enhance their presence in the marketplace."
"ARDEX Engineered Cements and W.W.Henry Company, leading manufacturers of flooring adhesives, underlayments and patching products in the U.S., will now focus on providing a high level of service and enhanced business opportunities to our distribution partners and their customers," concludes Herbert Goller.
