Revolutionary GreenLine High-Performance, Environmentally Preferred Carpet Adhesive Ready For Distribution
-W.W. HENRY Contributes To The Improvement of Indoor Air Quality With New State-Of-The-Art Flooring Adhesives-
Aliquippa, Pa. (May 6, 2002) - Leading flooring adhesive manufacturer W.W. Henry announced today that the company's state-of-the-art GreenLine™ GL62 high-performance, environmentally preferred carpet adhesive is ready for distribution. The result of a major technological breakthrough, GreenLine is the first line of high-performance flooring adhesives that has almost no discernible odor and the lowest level of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of any product on the market as measured by Carpet & Rug Institute (CRI) criteria. W.W. Henry introduced the new product line during the Surfaces 2002 trade show that was held January 29 - February 1 in Las Vegas. W.W. Henry currently is in full production with GL62 and prepared to fulfill orders beginning immediately.
"Indoor air quality has emerged as a key issue in the flooring and building industries, especially in government facilities and schools," said W. Michael Crouch, W.W. Henry executive vice president. "Lowering emission levels in flooring adhesives can contribute to improving indoor air quality during remodeling. Although there are many factors well beyond the flooring industry's control that contribute to the quality of air in a building, GreenLine is one example of how we are taking steps to improve the situation."
Tests utilizing the Indoor Air Quality adhesive testing process as defined by CRI show that the emissions in GreenLine products are up to 97 percent lower than CRI standards. Lori Dowling CRI Executive Director Third-party quotation (I suggest something to the effect of "GreenLine is a whole new category of flooring adhesives. This is the first time a flooring adhesives manufacturer has developed technology that reduces emissions levels so dramatically while maintaining high levels of performance." This statement would be more credible coming from an industry expert.)
Not only is HENRY GreenLine GL62 low in emissions and odor, IT WORKS! HENRY GreenLine GL62 has outstanding performance and is recommended for all carpet backings except vinyl. In fact, HENRY GreenLine GL62's performance is so strong it carries the HENRY's BEST 10 year warranty. HENRY GreenLine GL62 is positioned for long-term performance in heavy traffic areas. HENRY GreenLine GL62 is very easy to trowel, has superior bond strength, and requires no open time over most substrates. HENRY GreenLine GL62 is the environmentally-conscious professional's formula for success when installing most commercial carpets.
"We developed GreenLine with the idea of improving indoor air quality in mind," said Crouch. "While we decided to launch GreenLine with the GL62 carpet adhesive, we have plans to expand the line this year with other high-performance, environmentally friendly products." Crouch noted that the GreenLine is new to the world technology and represents the first of what corporate officials anticipate to be many technological breakthroughs from W.W. Henry since the company was acquired by ARDEX Engineered Cements in 2000. W.W.
