SystemOne training proves successful
ARDEX'S AND W.W. HENRY'S SYSTEMONE
TRAINING PROVES SUCCESSFUL
Aliquippa, Pa. (September 19, 2002) - For several years in a row, the flooring industry has named installation as the #1 challenge faced on a daily basis. When ARDEX Engineered Cements and The W.W. HENRY Company, two leading names in the flooring installation industry, joined forces, they created SystemOneTM - offering a comprehensive installation program that takes risk out of the installation process and allows contractors to have more successful installations. SystemOne is the unique flooring installation and technical support system that uses high-performance, highly compatible products matched with unparalleled technical and field support and the most comprehensive warranty available in the industry.
Now, under the banner of SystemOne, ARDEX and W.W. HENRY are bringing you the ultimate guide to installation techniques - SystemOne training seminars. The two-day seminars are held at the company's headquarters in Aliquippa, PA, near Pittsburgh, and feature a wealth of information that installers can use immediately to enhance the value of their installations. Joe Peilert, General Manager of ARDEX, explains that, while having a 10-year warranty covering material and labor for underlayment, adhesive and flooring is reassuring, the focus of the SystemOne program is on prevention, rather than cure. "Prevention starts by knowing how to avoid mistakes: proper substrate preparation, selecting the right adhesive for the flooring to be installed, and many other factors that can cause expensive mistakes, claims, good will loss, and law suits," he said.
The newly developed SystemOne training program utilizes the skills and techniques that ARDEX and W.W. HENRY are known for - straight forward, easy-to-understand classroom training and solid, hands-on work. The first part of the training teaches the fundamentals of substrate preparation along with the proper use of patching and leveling compounds utilizing ARDEX products. On the second day, the training focus shifts to HENRY adhesive products. "We have had an overwhelming response with regard to the value of this training program," said Bruce Newbrough, Manager of Technical Service for ARDEX and W.W. HENRY. "The most intriguing element of this program is that you not only learn which HENRY adhesive is used for what, but also some of the factors that make our adhesives superior in terms of formulation, installation characteristics, and long term performance."
ARDEX Engineered Cements is the leading manufacturer of specialty cements that are used by flooring and building professionals for substrate preparation, flooring installation, concrete repair and resurfacing. W.W. HENRY is the world's largest manufacturer of flooring adhesives used with resilient flooring, carpet, wood and ceramic tile. ARDEX acquired the W.W. HENRY Company in August 2000, and both are headquartered in Aliquippa, Pa., near Pittsburgh.Back to Listing
