HENRY Introduces New HENRY 640 VinylLock™ Pressure Sensitive Adhesive

HENRY Introduces New
HENRY 640 VinylLock Pressure Sensitive Adhesive

Aliquippa, PA September 30, 2005 – With a longstanding tradition of developing advancements in flooring adhesive technology, the W.W. HENRY Company is pleased to announce the introduction of HENRY 640 VinylLock Pressure Sensitive Vinyl Flooring Adhesive, representing the latest product addition in HENRY’s Next Generation Latex-Based Flooring Adhesive line. HENRY 640 VinylLock is designed to install vinyl-backed flooring structures (tile, plank and sheet).

HENRY 640 VinylLock’s unique formulation offers installers a number of features including:

  • Use as a pressure-sensitive or wet-set adhesive!
As a pressure-sensitive adhesive, allowed to go “dry to the touch” prior to installation, HENRY 640 has up to 8 hours of working time (longer than most pressure sensitive adhesives available today). HENRY 640 VinylLock can also be used as a “wet-set” adhesive, should an installer prefer time to reposition the floor after the installation.

  • Excellent initial grab and more
HENRY 640’s unique formulation provides excellent initial grab combined with a higher ultimate bond strength than other pressure-sensitive adhesives, thus allowing HENRY 640 VinylLock to handle dimensional stability and movement issues common to vinyl-backed flooring structures.

  • Ease of use and longer working time
HENRY 640 VinylLock has the ease of use of a pressure-sensitive adhesive and a working time of up to 8 hours – longer than most pressure sensitive adhesives available today.

  • Outstanding resistance…
HENRY 640 provides excellent plasticizer migration resistance – for long term adhesive performance, as well as superb moisture and alkali resistant to withstand moisture vapor from concrete subfloors.

  • And more…
Using HENRY 640 VinylLock can also reduce the propensity for bubbles in the flooring installation, as the installer can allow the adhesive to go “dry to the touch” prior to installation.
